We are introducing a blended approach that combines the benefits of online learning with the engaging elements of live interaction. The format features a mix of in-class and live, synchronous sessions alongside interactive online materials and activities - retaining the structure and personal connection of face-to-face programmes while offering the convenience and accessibility of online learning.
The Construction Project Management Programme (CPMP) aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of construction project management and its application in the built environment. The programme covers essential areas of project management and introduces students to specific construction project management applications, with the involvement of both academic experts and experienced property professionals.

Closing date for registration is one week prior to the start of the programme.
Cancellations must be received one week before the start of the programme or the full fee will be charged.

Dr Mart-Mari Els
Dr Mart-Mari Els is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of Quantity Surveying and Construction Management. Since 2008, she has been a dedicated lecturer at the University of the Free State, teaching modules ranging from Descriptive Quantification to Property Development Economics. Mart-Mari recently completed her PhD in Higher Education Studies, focusing on innovative teaching methodologies for the built environment. Her expertise is backed by a BSc, Honours, and an MSc in Quantity Surveying.
Mr Karel Oberholzer
Karel Oberholzer is a property development specialist with over two decades of experience in banking and construction. Currently a director at Innovative Consolidated Group, he previously held senior roles at Bigen Group and Calgro M3, managing complex residential life cycles. His expertise includes 14 years at FNB, where he led advanced analytics. Academically, Karel holds an honours degree in Urban Geography and an MBA — a combination of analytical mastery and leadership in the built environment that provides students with a commercially grounded perspective on property management.
