The purpose of the Property Development Course is to introduce candidates to the fundamental knowledge that underpins property development, highlighting land development, “green” building, practical execution of feasibility studies, cash flows, financial calculations, finance for property development, property law, health and safety, marketing of properties. Further, to provide learners with a comprehensive foundation in property development, investment analysis, and property management, equipping them with essential skills in financial evaluation, legal compliance, and sustainable practices to support informed decision-making and effective participation in the property industry.

Awarded to delegates who successfully complete each of the learning modules and achieve a minimum average of 50% on assignments.

Karel Oberholzer is a property development specialist with over two decades of experience in banking and construction. Currently a director at Innovative Consolidated Group, he previously held senior roles at Bigen Group and Calgro M3, managing complex residential life cycles. His expertise includes 14 years at FNB, where he led advanced analytics. Academically, Karel holds an honours degree in Urban Geography and an MBA. This combination of analytical mastery and leadership in the built environment provides students with a commercially grounded perspective on property management.
